Engine Mounts

Engine Mounts

Postby Warren Janzen » Mon Jun 30, 2014 5:04 pm

Hello Folks, I'm a new comanche 180 owner. Need to source some engine mounts for the O-360. Can't seem to find a cross reference. Part numbers & supplier name would be great. Thanks.

Warren,

Welcome to Comanche ownership. I know the ones for a Twin but 180s are different. There was an issue a couple of years back but ICS stepped up and it was resolved. Might try searching on responses on this subject from Zach Grant.

Unfortunately the only source for these is from Piper through Aviall. Call a Piper dealer or have your shop get them through Aviall.

Thanks for the help. Took a while to get through, but Aviall had them. Phone number: 800-284-2556.

Warren, we are probably due to replace our in the near future. Do mind if I ask what Aviall is charging?

Thanks,

Michael

well here it is about a month later and I go to order my 4 engine mounts for my 180 and I only get 1 mount. the other 3 are on back order.
not sure when it will come in, but according to avail's website it states sometime in june.

this is a bummer for me as my engine will be ready to hang in about 3 weeks.

back in december they had 9 mounts in stock.

anybody know of another source?

Thanks
Jon

Might be worth a call to one of the stocking Piper dealers. Muncie Aviation, Des Moines Flying Service etc.
