New source of PA-30 exhaust stack extensions?

New source of PA-30 exhaust stack extensions?

Postby Frank Brunot » Thu May 31, 2012 10:33 pm

Since Gulf Coast Stacks appears to be out of business (or had their phone disconnected), does anyone know of a company (possibly an aircraft welding shop) who can supply the exhaust extensions for a PA-30?

If you already have the STC,you can manufacture a set per the STC and install them on your aircraft legally as owner produced parts. If you do not have the STC, you can petition the FAA for the STC paperwork, as it has been abandon, and do the same as above.

Thanks for your response, Zach. However, now I am TOTALLY confused!

According to an earlier post on 14 Dec 2010, the STC number is SA2648SO issued 10/23/89 by the FAA office in Atlanta.

I just downloaded the entire STC list from the FAA website (in Excel format), and there is NO STC issued for number SA2648SO, nor to Gulfcoast Stacks, nor on 10/23/89. There is only one STC issued to someone in Foley, AL, but it was for something else.

So are we looking at a bogus STC? Wonder if anyone has ever contacted the Atlanta office to see if it's real? If not, I just might do that.

Paul,

Do you have a set of exhaust extensions + clamps for sale? If so, how much?

Or do you have the STC for sale?
