I've been happy with JPI 7604C in the twin since 2005 - moved it in 2007 when we re-did the panel and moved it just to the left of the center radio stack to make it more readily in the pilot scan. Added the oil temp feature and had some early problems due to install of probes. Reminds me, the shop took out the factory CHT probes which is no-no unless the unit is STC'd to act as primary gauge.
We use Shadin for fuel qty and flow - it is STC'd to act as primary by Osborne. It ties to the GPS - very nice set-up so engine monitor is not required for this function.
