PA24-180 Dual Exhaust Installation

PA24-180 Dual Exhaust Installation

Postby Pat Donovan » Mon Oct 10, 2011 4:04 am

Hello,

I've ordered the dual exhaust conversion from Dave Pratt and would like to get some pictures of similar installations and suggestions regarding what was done about relocating the fresh air inlet ducts. I have a 1964 model with external scoops, one on each side of the bottom cowl that I assume will need to be moved.

Thanks,

Pat: I put dual exhaust on my 58 180 about three years ago. I only had one fresh air vent on the right side. It does get in the way so i made a flush patch for the old location and moved the vent forward where it wouldnt cause problems. The templates they send with the kit are close but you will still have to put the lower cowl on several times to get the cutouts exact.Take your time and fit and fuss the end result is worth it.
