It is interesting that your POI is giving you gas about using a Twinkie for training. The reputation is entirely undeserved, though an Aztec/Apache is more forgiving of fools. At the time that twinkies were being screwed into the ground with somewhat more regularity than out twins, the FAA was still teaching Vmc demos to stall break. It was a little like licensing the survivors.

I was DOO of an 135 operation that had a Twinkie on the certificate for a couple of years. I was check airman in the aircraft, and gave numerous 135 rides in the aircraft and several ratings. All it takes is training of instructors. There may be a Comanche Flyer Foundation instructor in your area, but if not, I could probably be coaxed up from Northern California if needed. I think that after you POI saw the training and understood the reasonably simple way to demonstrate Vmc while leaving oodles of a safety margin, he/she might relax a bit.
