Pat,

Hope all is well with you and Ken in the great state of Texas.

I'm with you on this. All Amsafe has going against it IMHO is the economy. Seems like a lot of folks are happy just to be able to hang on to the airplane, let alone upgrade it.

Fortunately, mine is free and clear, and if I need to cut back at times we wax it instead of fly it.

That said, I feel the airbag system is SO important, I have signed up for the offer as well, and will come up with the other 90% in a few months if Steve is able and willing to move ahead with the program.

Anyone out there who values life and limb of your self and family/ passengers should think a little about the cost-benefit of the airbags.

Would you pay 2-3K to have your life back? Your face back in one piece? Your family's long term health and enjoyment of life? When I looked at it that way, I figured Amsafe was the cheapest safety enhancement I could add to the plane for the potential benefit derived.

My wife is still with me because of funtioning automotive airbags (she has never had a ticket, so don't go there). As a result of that accident 20 years ago, I have never had another vehicle without airbags except 68P.

Now that there is a chance to have them in her, I am thankful there is a company out there willing to persue the certification required for our type.

Best,

Mike Foster
