That's exactly why I am asking -- to get rid of the ambiguities so that I can come up with the proper W&B calculations for our various cruise configurations. For instance, we'll be four up coming to Jersey, and have to turn down a fifth so that we'll actually be able to carry some fuel in those tanks!

Why the reduction? That doesn't make sense, unless it's a limit on the wing loading? If the 260 gets an increase in gross, why would the C get a decrease? Perhaps it's just that Brittain did not want to go through the certification work? Quirk or no quirk, I just want to know the aerodynamic / structural reason.

The aircraft was weighed recently at 931,94 kg without fuel.
We've got some heavy equipment in the back that can be modernized to less weighty stuff.

Thanks, but this still doesn't give information suitable for the 260C.
The max gross for the C sans tips is 3200, and it's 3150 with tips according to my documents, and the graphs in my handbook are for the no-tips configuration.

Hi Ben,
We figure that it will be OK to use the graphs for the 260C without alteration (that is, keeping the max gross and CG data of the graph).

We've got 97.00" arm for the tip tanks.
