Anybody reconfigure the mixture, throttle, prop arrangement?

Anybody reconfigure the mixture, throttle, prop arrangement?

I'm wondering what's involved and is it worth it? '66 260B single.

I think this is one of those subjective items. If it bothers you it might be worth it. If you fly a variety of airplanes, the non-standard arrangement may be more of an issue. My '68 260B is pretty much the only airplane I fly anymore. I've gotten used to the arrangement so it's a non-issue.

There are probably several folks on the board that have had this mod done. From what I've been told it isn't that difficult or expensive but it will require a 337/Field Approval when it's done.

I have a 1968 260B that I recently converted to the "standardized" controls. In order to do so, I had to send my throttle and mixture cable to Macfarlane for them to custom make me the cables as they do not sell FAA approved throttle or mixture cables for the fuel injected motor (they do for a carb). They do sell the prop cable. I did get a 337 for the change. I changed my controls because I like the look and feel of the new cables and nobs. I also fly other aircraft that have standardized controls and found it confusing switching back and forth all the time. It is a fairly easy process as Macfarlan can build the cables in a day.
