Some time back, I read an article that claims if the flaps are adjusted slightly UPWARD from their normal "UP" position, it will increase the performance of the airplane.
1) Does anyone know if this is in fact true?
2) If so, has anyone tried this on a PA30?
3) If so, how much performance increase was there, and what was the positive (UP) angle increased to.

Yes for ailerons, on a 39. Mom, Marion Jayne, Hall of Fame race pilot, did the timings - my guess is a kt or so. Unless you are racing I'd spend time hands-off perfect rigging or finding the best winds for each flight - just my .02
