gear lights

I no longer get an up light or a green down light. The gear retracts and extends fine, any ideas

possible causes. If both lights not working, unlikely both bulbs burned out same time. Check switches on gear mechanism. Possible one switch is broken, more likely a broken wire to any of the switches. Any switch not sending the proper signal will cause the light to not come on. Also, make sure the position lights are not on, have seen this. If position lights on, gear lights dim so much they are very difficult to see in daylight

I had this problem with the position lights on, apparently due to the rheostat in the switch being burnt out. With position lights off, gear indicator lights are fine.
