12th Annual FAA/DOD/NASA Aging Aircraft Conference

12th Annual FAA/DOD/NASA Aging Aircraft Conference

Postby Hansmeister » Wed Apr 29, 2009 12:00 am

This conference begins next week, and I will be there giving a daily blog. My presentation is Wednesday morning, and deals with the horn cracking problem.

Each speaker is given about 15-16 minutes for the talk, 5 minutes for questions & answers, and 5 minutes to get the next speaker set-up.

Because of the time limitation, my presentation is brief.

It is attached here as a .pdf file for your consideration.

Hans,

Excellent, succinct presentation.

One suggestion would be to change the initial visual from your gorgeous twin to a single - solely because of the impression it leaves that the horn problem is happening in Twins and that is not the case.

To close on a positive note about the fleet, you might use the photo of your plane and mention its current speed performance and fuel consumption. It gives a little marketing balance to the fleet. I clearly recognize the focus of the conference but a 20 second commercial to brag about your plane would likely be greeted with a smile - just a thought - yours to use or lose.

Thanks for working on behalf of all of Comanche owners.
Pat

Dear Pat, thanks for the kind words and thoughts, but today was the last day to upload the PowerPoint, so it is what it is.

I think I know what is going on with the horn, but want someone to check my work, and provide some level of concurrence.

Would it be worth mentioning that there has been no known catastrophic failure.
