Aerospace Logic CHT/EGT instrument

Has anyone installed Aerospace Logic CHT/EGT indicators? These are approved as primary instruments. I am looking for CHT/EGT instruments for my Twin Comanche. I was going to get a pair of either JPI 700's or 800's, but at EAA Airventure last month I was informed by JPI that dual 700's or 800's are no longer approved for twins. They only sell the 760's for twins. The 700's, 800's, and 760's are NOT approved as primary instruments as far as I can tell.
I became interested in the EI UB16's because the "head" of the instrument can be detached from the main part of the instrument which can be placed anywhere under the panel. This is called the "remote" option by EI. Mooney drivers call it the "Mooney" option because of shallow panel depth. This was atractive to me because of where the two 2 1/4" holes available to me are low in the panel. The EI UB16 is not certified as a primary instrument.
Insight has the G1-3. The G4 twin requires a 3 1/2" hole which I don't have open. The G series is only approved as primary EGT/CHT ( & TIT) . I don't think we need primary EGT, just CHT.
I'd be interested in anyone's experience with the Aerospace Logic EGT/CHT. I'd rather not spend a fortune to monitor CHT/EGT on all cylinders.
Clear Skies,
