WTB PA30 / PA39

Looking for a Twin Comanche, 40K to 60K depending on equipment and times. Not super picky in that price range when it comes in interior, paint, etc. but looking for something mechanically solid, Will consider higher time engines if they are running well. Strongly prefer IFR GPS (approach certified) and two axis autopilot (old models are fine if in working condition or well supported).

If you, or anyone you know, might have the plane we are looking for please let me know. We don't need financing so it will be a fast sale for the right plane!

Dwainland@gmail.com if you prefer that to private message!

Thanks!

David,
Good luck in your quest! I think you are going to be a bit disappointed as to what your price range gets you, but by all means go hunt the good hunt! Unfortunately most folks who have cared enough to make their airplanes mechanically sound have also spent significantly on upgrades. My experience is there are very few "solid but uglies" out there. More often there are either the basket case project, or the recently completed project. Basket cases are usually on the lower end of your price range, recently resurected basket cases can't be touched on the high side of your price, however they will be cheaper than doing your own restoration from a basket case.

Tom Smith (telephone 425 485 6226) has a low time airframe and engines turboed PA30 for sale. It's a clean airplane and has super long range fuel tanks insalled. It has always been hangared. AHP N88AP

Echoing Zach's comment... You are $ ahead to spend more and buy a plane that is sorted than to buy a "fixer-upper" and pour $ into it. Good luck.
