Propeller deicer pump PA 39

My propeller deicer pump on my PA 39 is leaking. I can find no information about this pump in the manuals and on the web side from Wiggin Airways.

Richard - just back on this forum after a long time away.

Wiggins used two different types of pump. One is variable speed and is a Weldon 100B-6. This can be overhauled - with difficulty and at significant cost at a couple of places. One is Consolidated Aircraft Supply.

Later installations used a Bendix pump 478360. I think this is installed as a single speed off/on pump.

Search the FAA database for the STC for the info. STC is SA184EA

I am pretty sure the Bendix pump is the standard PA-28 etc fuel pump and is easily available

Many of the Cessna twins which used IPA for the windshield also used a Bendix or Facet pump similar to the fuel pump in a 180/250.

The WELDON pump makes 2 GPH on 20 PSI.
What makes the BENDIX pump?

Interesting question. The Bendix pump is listed as producing 36 GPH!

I know that the alcohol systems on Beechcraft aircraft include a flow restrictor in the system, and I suspect that Wiggins might have done the same.

What exactly are you looking for? A copy of the STC? I am confused with you question for "dates" for the bendix pump. A quick search yielded multiple sources for the pump.

Hallo Zach,

i do not need the STC, th prop-dice is original installed by Piper, but I can not find any information about th Prop dice in the Piper manuals, so I can see the different installation between a WELDON- and a BENDIX pump. About the Bendix pump, i can find a lot of pumps to buy, but no technical details as GPH and PSI and so on.
But thank you for your assistance.
