Landing Gear Retract Videos

Postby Charles Schefer » Tue Mar 17, 2015 3:43 pm

I've been meaning to post this for some time and finally just got around to it....

Last year after I finished my project and rigging the gear; I took a number of videos from different angles showing the full retraction / extension sequence. I had quite a lot apart so it gave me the opportunity to take video from different angles and do things like; mount the camera inside the nose gear well, and; shoot from under the wing with the bungie cords visible. My intent was to capture video of how the push-pull cables, drag links and other parts articulate together to make the gear work. It's really not a complicated gear system but I think it's still fun to see in action.

I've posted some of the better . You don't need to have a Dropbox account to view them, just click the link. The videos are in the videos folder and there's also a pictures folder with lots of parts / assembly pics that I took along the way; some of which were already posted in the thread.

Hope these may be helpful and/or educational to my fellow Comanche enthusiasts.

Many thanks for all the comments and compliments. I hope these are helpful to others when looking at gear issues. I had a LOT of help from other ICS members along the way and did a lot of research to make sure the parts and reassembly were correct.
