Switch from Slick Mags to TCM Bendix

Switch from Slick Mags to TCM Bendix

Postby Paul Michel Fenouil » Thu Feb 26, 2015 10:53 pm

I have hard starting with Slick 4373, 4370 (25 degrees of Lag, Sparks REM 38 E) on Lyco O-360-A1A. Impulse Coupled on 4373.
I had replaced left capacitor, it's the same.
Many mechanics advise to change to Bendix.
I can't find which Bendix model, nor harness I have to order.
Is there somebody to give me the proper web link to get it ? I had tried Bendix, TCM and so on...
It's easier to get pdf Champion Unison Ignition systems vs engine, NOT with TCM Bendix...

If I can't find which Bendix model, I will have to keep my Slick and install a SlickStart.
Otherwise can I replace RH 4370 with another 4373 to get dual IC with no other modification. I can't get on the web the Slick SB SL2-93 to have the information.

Look on the Type Certificate Data Sheet on the FAA website to find out what Bendix mags are approved. They you can find out what the new TCM number is.
