You will need not only the tanks, but you will need the fuel selector valves and assorted plumbing. If you are looking to install this in the U.S, then you also need the permission from J.L. Osborne, the STC holder. It is expensive to go with new, but it is likely not to be a ton of savings to go with used unless you get a smoking good deal on the tanks and valves. I am not even sure that Osborne will sell just the STC paperwork to allow you to install used tanks, so you would have to check with them on that. The tanks are a nice upgrade for a 250 as they bump your useful load up nicely and add a nice bump to your range. I would seriously consider just getting the kit and having it installed.
