PA 24 61 with baggage door on passenger side.

PA 24 with baggage door on passenger side.
The catch is broken that holds the baggage door open.
I think the part number might be 20654-00 but not sure as the pictures are too small in the parts manual.
Anyone have any experience either in repairing or a modification for this?

Hi Harris,

Welcome to the ICS Forum.

If you look at the online PDF of the Parts Manual on the Home page of the website under the Tech tab, you should be able to enlarge it to read the part number.

I've had success googling part numbers in the past.

If that fails, try Webco and if Philip answers the phone, please tell him I said Hi. Just because Webco doesn't have it on their website, doesn't mean they don't have it and it is a lot faster if you already know the part number.

Also on the Home page of this website is a hard to find parts click area mid-screen on the right. Preferred air Parts has also been helpful to me.

You can fast path back to the Home page by clicking on International Comanche Society above at the top of the screen.

I had the same problem on my 59 250 a couple of years ago and was able to find parts. I am currently enjoying the good life flying thru Guatemala en route to Costa Rica or perhaps beyond so I don't have my records at hand but if you still need the info I'll be home in early March. In the meantime, I'll certainly be thinking about your problem. (Occasionally.) (And briefly!)
