Thanks to everyone who helped me with advice and encouragement with my quest to find a plane.
Turns out I found one, right under my nose. I had looked at it a year ago, prior to getting my medical and resuming flying. I was scared to commit as I didn't know what would happen with the medical. Was emptying out my emails, and found the old email. Got in touch again with one of the owners, turns out they would want a partnership and are willing to create a 5 way partnership.
A beautiful 1962 Debonair with a D'Shannon conversion to a 300HP Lycoming. Painted and new interior 6 years ago. STEC 60-2 autopilot with altitude hold. Low airframe time, lower mid-time engine on the new Lycoming. Only problem was no Garmin GPS. Current owners agreed that we would install one, so if the prebuy goes ok, we will install a Garmin 650 and couple it to the autopilot.
I'm thrilled.....here's hoping that the pre-buy turns up nothing wrong.
