You're the only response so far. I haven't purchased yet. Was about ready to give up and just purchase myself.

Don't know if they'll give us a discount for just two, but David Lo Presti did say he would give a discount if you buy a set of mods together. I'm going for the whole smash, spats, slippers, splitters, flap seals. Also looking at Knots2U Wing Root Fairings. Any thoughts?

Hi Jim,

Just had another look at both Lo Presti and K2U.

I have a 24-180 SN 24-82 ie. manual flaps so the splitters are not applicable to my aircraft. I'm interested in the spats (or K2U gear lobe fairing kit). The K2U version is selling for $595 whereas the LoPresti kit is $699. I'm interested in the LoP Slipper also. Flap/aileron gap seals maybe? The K2U version looks better than LoP. Wing root fillets etc maybe?

What got me interested was spats and slipper for $400. That's a good price; but for 10...

There must be others out there??

I know this is an old message thread but just joined ICS and would be interested in a group buy. I do agree the Knots2u lobes do look a little better. Are they made of the same material or at least the same durability, fit and finish?

Just a note to close the thread. I took advantage of the half off special Lo Presti offered to ICS members last fall. Interestingly, I ended up using Knots 2 U for most of the mods(I liked the fit and quality better) Knots 2 U matched the Lo Presti price on gap seals and gear lobes.

I'll follow up with installation results as I have them, but as for customer service and quality, I have to make a big nod to Knots 2 U. Great people, very responsive, fast shipping and excellent customer support.

Lo Presti seems nice enough, but was sort of difficult and pretty much dropped the ball on me. I ordered Nov 2012, called about two dozen times over 12 months, and finally received one(nose gear lobe) of two items on September 2013. They finally told me the other is no longer available (flap track covers).

I to had to wait quite some time to get parts bought through the sale last year.. They tell me that I got the last 2 sets of flap fairings. I will be looking for other kits for my plane and a customer as well. Likely will end up at Knots 2 U for the balance of stuff.

One set going on my 400, the other going on a turbo twin. I do have a client with another 400 who wants to buy a set as well. Not sure what it would take to get LoPrestie to build more?

I'm not super hot on the track covers. Knots 2 U guys said they had considered them for Comanche at one point and determined they didn't yeild enough to warrant the build.

Not sure about the other mods, but the Nose Slipper I've installed so far is dissappointing. I'm not prepared to say it absolutley slowed me down, but... certainly no gain as I can determine.

Once I've done my full set of flight tests, I'll post my results. May be helpful for other 260c guys.

Hi Paul,

The nose 'slipper' is a lo presti mod. I wasn't impressed with the install on my 260c.

I do have a complete set of flap/aileron gap seal kit I'd be willing to sell you, if interested. I've also got the rudder gap seal kit.
