Always sad to see this. I wonder why the emergency gear extension didn't work.

wasn't too bad until the last paragraph - so I sent the reports this email ...

"You had factual and un-biased reporting until the last paragraph and then you only reported negative findings.

If you are going to report how many accidents there have been and if you intend to provide un-biased reporting then you should also report how many safe landings there have been.

There may be more accurate statistics available for your area but this location http://www.airnav.com/airport/KCUB would propose that at least 725,985 or 153/day safe operations occurred in the same 13-year timeframe you referenced or 99.99931 % of operations were safe. It may be higher if you included other airports in your report of 5 accidents.

I fly into CUB every few months. Nice little airport but expensive fuel. Sorry to see this happen.
