Arm Rests For A PA-30

Arm Rests For A PA-30

Postby George Kretschmann » Thu Jul 25, 2013 11:59 pm

I would like to replace my arm rests in the plane but not sure what model Ford I should use I think a 55 Ford arm rest will work, Webco does not stock any. The 55 chevy armrest holes that bolt up to the door are 5 1/2" center to center it looks like 5 1/4" will work, any ideas ????? Anyway when I figure it out I'll post back with what fits. Thanks George

I would check along the lines of General Motors stuff. You have to search the internet but I vaguely remember they are the same as a 55-58 year GMC truck arm rest.

George, why don't you just redo your old ones, a little new foam and some vinyl and you are go to go.

For future inquires......

As a follow up I did find some armrests after calling and checking around that are a direct replacement measurement wise for my 1963 PA-30. Also, the pads will screw and match up exactly with the new plastic. I bought the armrest from Mac's and the model armrests come from a 1948 - 1950 Ford pickup truck, part number and info... Thanks George
