Ground Power Plug-in door spring

Have any of you had success finding a replacement spring for the ground power access door at the nose of the 30B?
I can't believe mine broke after only 47 years!!!

I'm assuming you've already tried ASOD.com and Webco and maybe googling the part number

I got mine from webco. You have to remove the entire ext pwr plug to replace the spring. almost went with duct tape.

I would call piper support and ask if there is any warranty left on that spring. Only 47 years and it breaks.... :)

Do what everyone else does, and drill a hole in the cover lip, and tap a hole in the body. Run a #4 screw in there, and it will never flap around again. Honestly, if you need to use external power, you aren't going to care if you have to screw the cover back down after use!
