I have recently purchased a 1966 PA30 with the Miller conversion. I am looking for some information on operation. I am new to twin engines and have an experienced instructor but he isn't intimately familiar with the Twin Comanche. If anyone has any recommendations on power setting, leaning and turbo operation and leaning, I would be very appreciative.
I have been flying Cessna's for my entire flying career and am used to being able to easily measure the fuel quantity in the tanks. I have a Shadin fuel flow readout but haven't flown the airplane enough to really trust it. Does anyone have a secret for measuring fuel quantity without removing all the fuel and adding back?
I didn't realize what a remarkable airplanes these were until I happened upon one. I see why owners speak so highly of them.
Thanks,
Bryan Burnett
