PA-30 parts

Postby George Kretschmann » Sun Oct 14, 2012 1:44 pm

I have just recently purchased a 1963 PA-30, life long ambition, and in the process of fixing many small issues that are aggravating. I was wondering where I can find the 3 small rollers that are behind the cover against the panel, I guess that is the best way to describe it. Several of mine have flat spots on them and tah has caused excessive play. I have looked high and low and cannot seem to find any. I have the manuals, parts and maintenance for the plane, but I don't believe I see them in there. Thanks George.. 7032Y

Are those the nylon rollers? If they are the same as for the earlier singles, you can make them out of either nylon or Delrin rod. I just made a set recently for another aircraft. Have you tried Webco?

With Webco, you don't really need a part number. They will find it for you if they have it. Likely they do.

I could not have made them without a lathe.

I'll call them tomorrow.

Also, what is a good way to lube the tach cables and do I use regular oil the right seems to be bouncing more than the left I do get the 2 engines synced but the bouncing needs to stop.

I just have several small things to fix. thanks again George
