Had to do mine and what I did was to slid them out a little to gain access. Then I used SEM plastic paint I extracted from a spray can into a small container. I used a very fine artist acrylic paint brush about half inch wide and 1/16 thin (yes they go for about $10 but they are worth it).
After 3-4 very light coats, I can say I had pretty good result. One point to care is the fact that this pain has lots of solvent into it (to adhere to the plastic, I suppose) so the next coat you will apply will dilute somewhat the one before. This is where the acrlic brush is handy, that it will not leave bristle marks. Don't do more than one pass on the wet paint. Wait a few minutes until it dries.
No point in removing the yokes IMHO.
