Exemplar 337's Needed

Exemplar 337's Needed

Postby Kristin Winter » Thu Feb 16, 2012 7:12 pm

I need exemplar 337's showing a field approval to install the following:

1) Twin Comanche/400 wheels and brakes on a PA-24-180/250.

2) Single Fork lower struts on a PA-24-180/250.

If anyone knows of any STC covering these, that information would be appreciated as well.

Please post or email to kristin_winter at comcast dot net.

Thanks!

I have an example of a 337 where Comanche 260 wheels and brakes where put on a 250. The wheels are 40-84 and the brakes are 30-41. It gets rid of the expensive, hard to replace rotors. Let me know if it will work.

My airplane also had the single forks installed. I will see if I can track down that 337.

The brake 337 is about 10 pages. It has a lot of supporting documents. I will see if I can get it scanned in. Might just be easier to send you a hard copy. Send me your address and I will send it to you next week when I get home.

Mike,

For sending larger files I sometimes use YouSendIt. DropBox is another option for files sharing. Both have free options that are fairly generous in size.

Mike -
I would like a copy of that 337 also, please. I have a 250 and the wheels are showing some corrosion.
Thanks,

Alright guys,

I am getting so many requests that I am going to have to find a way to post it. If I can't figure it out I might have to send it to one person who can scan it and get it posted for everyone. Give me a few days.

Mike,

YouSendIt allows multiple recipients. You list recipients and then upload the file and type a short message. YouSendIt stores the files for a short period of time (a week I think) and sends an e-mail to your recipients directing them to the download site. They click on it and download your file. After a week, the link is no longer active.

With DropBox, you can make private folders where you need to invite each person, or a public folder where anyone can access the folder and its contents. I recommend this avenue for trying to share info with multiple people.

I use both at work. DropBox has a limit on total size of all your folders and is best used for sharing with a very large group in the public folder for longer periods of time, or controlling access in the private ones.

YouSendIt is best if you are reaching your DropBox storage limit or if you only have a few recipients.

You can attach pretty large files here too. I am not sure of the limit, but it is probably several megs.

Kristen,

What happened with this 337 sharing or your proposed conversion? I'm also interested.

Thanks, Don

I am still hoping to receive a 337 for the single fork conversion, but so far, I haven't located one yet.

Did you get the 337 I sent you for the brake conversion?

I'm also in need of an 337 example for changing the brakes. Or, if any Canadians out there have gotten a LSTC done for this, please contact me.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Just a wild thought...

Why can't we have a place on the ICS web site where all of these documents can be hosted for everyone to be able to see and use?

For a new owner like myself I barely even know the right questions to ask reqarding modifications etc. Being able to browse the things that others have already done would be a huge benefit.

Surely this is what the ICS if for.

James.
