While I haven't had work done by Pat Barry, his reputation and knowledge is known in the Comanche community. He's at Chino in So Cal. Thanks for the tips. Yeah Im a new Comanche owner, actually a half owner with three other pilots. I am also a new member here and have enjoyed reading all the information in the chat rooms and Tips section. I am actually a newer airplane pilot still acquiring my Private Pilot Add on. I am a commercial helicopter pilot in Las Vegas flying for 20 years and 11,000 hours. I finaly decided to switch to the dark side and get my PPL so I can visit family in SOCAL (helicopters are too expensive for that). I started at one flight school in the Piper Archer, then switched to another independent instructor in the Piper Cherokee 235. When this oppourtunity came up for the Comanche with my same flight instructor, the transition wasnt too difficult except landings took more skill. I do love the aircraft though and the power is excellent on these 102 degree days we have had. I hope to learn more from this website and other members. Thanks again for the quick replies.

Oh and I will try and attend a Comanche class in October. Sounds like it would be a great experience.

I'm second generation on the twin (42 years) and have been to CPPP and its predecessor and plan to go again this fall. Have always found it to be worthwhile. Always something to learn.
