Interesting. I will measure mine and see what I come up with. I know when I had mine installed, the shop had to get an FAA Designated Engineer to approve the new panel layout and design. My take is that when companies like JPI have to go through the FAA approval process they come up with a lot of arbitrary and meaningless numbers and data in an effort to improve saftey. I guess it doesn't matter tht the original gauges don't meet this requirement either. Unfortunately,due to avionics and flight instruments changing so fast, integration on the GA side is very poor. I would check with some avionics shops and see what their experience has been.
