Dukes Trans/motor

Postby Chilly Canuck » Sun Jan 29, 2012 5:21 am

I'm looking for a back up gear motor and trans. Not in a hurry, but if someone has one they're looking to part with, please let me know.

Hi Chilly,

Welcome to the Comanche Forum.

You might try the salvage yards such as ASOD.com that supports Comanches

There is a trans and jackscrew on ebay now, I think it said it had 750 hrs on it and 1995 Webco overhaul, unk if Dukes. There is a new motor on separate posting.

If there are five screws holding the end cover, it is a Dura. Six screws for a Dukes.

Hi Evan:

I have a few of the Dukes Transmissions available; Jim Covington is the owner/banker, I just do the service end of the program and when I'm finished they're like jewelry. If you are still interested contact either of us. Matt @ 239-404-7524; Jim @ 815-988-5404.

I've attached a photo of a Dura transmission in the test bench.

Matt,

You need to buy yourself a better set of shoes.

Hi McHans:

Good observation; I was wondering if anyone would spot that detail. Those shoes went in the regular trash; I had to decide which and figured they were too contaminated for the recycle bin and feared I might get audited or something even worse.
