1969 C model single S,N 4809 Heat adjustment

Can anyone tell me if there is some kind of heat adjustment on the C model single.Im reading a tips manual and they mention some kind of adjustment screw for a heater????? maybe im confusing it with a system that the twin has?. I was understanding the 260c single gets its heat from the muffler shroud and there is no extra heater am i right ??

How long have you had the 260C? One heater and it does come from the exhaust. Do you know about the cabin air outlets? Besides those controlled by the levers on the far right lower panel there are two outlets on the exterior walls just below the panel on the left and right sides that can be manually opened and closed depending on wanted air.

On the engine side of the firewall there are right and left levers that are attached to the cabin controls that usually do not close tightly unless you manually push them over center.

If neither of these things solve your hot air (too much, or too little ?) problem take two aspirin and call me in the morning.

If neither of these things solve your hot air (too much, or too little ?) problem take two aspirin and call me in the morning.[/quote I see a flapper door that cuts off hot air to cabin.This flapper is connected to my red heat lever in cabin.This flapper is located in engine compartment on left side of fire wall in a small box and orange tubing goes to muffler shroud. Im assuming all heat comes from heat shroud and no other source?????Yes i am aware of all other levers inside as i did complete leather upholstery myself from airtex

Dave i posted in quote box oops sorry im new to this..I have plane since 1991 what was throwing me off .. I was reading about some kind of other adjustment screw for heater but I think thats for twins?? Look above where you responded to see my answer

Ed,

I am sure that it was referring to the twins as you can adjust the heat output of the combustion heater in the twins by turning a screw.
