Twinkie elevator trim

Twinkie elevator trim

Postby cgbiggs » Thu Nov 03, 2011 4:59 am

Going through my trim and have found the 2 small (3/4 inch diam) pulleys inside the rear side panel are both groved and worn. Need to find a source. Anyone? Also found the right one had a too long bolt and the nut was bottomed before it tightened up. Been in there a long time that way. Have found the auto-trim not working so will have to look into that also. Need a Heim joint end to the upper elevator trim push/pull rod, source? Still interesting what you find even after many years of "annuals".

I haven't been able to find a source for those pulleys. I will be interested if someone comes up with something. As for the Heim joints, they are an HM-4M's. Spruce has them.

Great news on the Heim joint thanks! I too, have not found a supply for the pulleys yet either I may have to go the route of my lathe and a 1" pulley turned down to 3/4". Owner designed part? :-)
