Twinkie elactric fuel pump-Has anyone ever----

Has anyone ever tried to remove the left electric pump by itself by pulling it up inside the cabin and not by removing the entire 2 pump assembly from below? By looking at mine it seems possible.

Well, It came out through the top by removing the hard lines and the band clamp. Wasn't that difficult. It can't imagine why it failed after only 44 years? Aviation Inovations is suppling the new one. BTW, GREAT company to deal with. Dave went out of his way to get one to me in a short period of time.

They are in, they work, problem solved. The kit is very complete right down to eveything needed in the tool kit but with just a couple of minor exceptions. Make sure you get the #4 and #6 correct orings for the outlet fittings, and have some more very small zipties to secure the wiring I needed more than they supplied. You'll also need some rubber/cork pads for the motor cradles (one side, self adhesive, about 1/8 inch thick). All in all, figure 6 to 8 hrs the first time and half that the next time. Very glad I did it.
