Hurricane Irene

I survived hurricane Irene tied up just outside Atlantic City. Only problem is the air intake on the top of the fuselage was filled with water when I checked this morning. I was able to siphon out most of the water but could not get the siphon hose all the way down. I suspect there may be more water forward of the intake. Any ideas on how to get to this water?

Pathfinder shows his aircraft to be a 260C at N81 in New Jersey.

Dear Rick,

Sorry, I don't think I can help you with that one. I think the cabin air comes from an inlet on the dorsal fin for that model. I thought you might have had a scoop that is on the top of the fuselage just behind the baggage compartment. You will have to get a 260 guy to help with that or check by phone with a Comanche technical advisor listed in the Flyer.

There has to be a drain plugged up. Think about it, you couldn't fly in the rain if the air scoop didn't drain water and forced it into the cabin. Ray B
