The restaurant at the Brenham Municipal Airport Terminal is known for its 1950s Diner décor, delicious food and superb, hometown Blue Bell Ice Cream. It is also known as one of Dale Vandever’s favorite eateries – in particular, he enjoyed the triple strawberry ice cream. To honor Dale’s memory and his countless Comanche contributions, I’m hosting a Lunch-In on Saturday, April 9, 2011 with a rain date Saturday, April 23, 2011.

Everyone is welcome – especially new Comanche owners. If you plan to join us, please send an email to me at pjkeefer@gmail.com with your aircraft number, estimated arrival of arrival and number in your party so that we can plan accordingly. If a rain date is needed, you will receive an email. Owners Jack and Janet Hess have already made a donation in Dale’s memory and hope to join us for a bit of lunch but as you might imagine, it will be brief due to the requirement to take care of their many visitors.

Schedule:
Arrivals - 10:30 to 11:00
Lunch - 11 to 12 ish
Comanche ogling - 12sh to 1:00
Departures - 1:00-2:00

It appears that Dale has some influence, the previously forecasted storms have left the forecast for Saturday. Several folks will be there in spirit and nice-sized party of 8-10 will make the journey. If you plan to attend, please let me know so you'll have a place at the table.
