Brake Cable P/N 21077-00

Brake Cable P/N 21077-00

Postby Edward Horan » Sun Jan 03, 2010 2:34 am

Would anyone have a proper drawing / dimensions for the 21077-00 cable for a PA24 (180) [SN 24-2095]?? Mine has had some "field engineering" which replace the ball on the Brake handle end with a NicoPress thimble. This was attached to a "home brew" (before me) clevis that was secured to the brake handle by placing a screw through the hole that used to provide support for the ball.

Thanks.

Edward, welcome to the Comanche Forum.

I noticed this is your first post. One of the iCS Tech Directors, Zach Grant owns a 180 and will post if he can help - might be a few days as he travels a bit but if you check for answers on this post in the morning, I wanted you to have a bit of something 'in your Christmas stocking'.

Brake Cable P/N 21077-00

Ed,

I assume that part number that you referenced is the cable between the handle and the master cylinder. I ordered one from Webco about 10 years ago. Not sure if they will still make you one, but they definitely know how to. If the can't sell you one, perhaps they can forward a drawing.

My cable was severly frayed at the lower fire-wall pulley. One more good pull and I would have been brake-less. Webco also was able to locate a new pulley for me which if I recall correctly, was an odd size.
