Firewall Restoration Photos

Postby Patrick Arnold » Mon Jul 20, 2009 1:45 pm

I've posted a couple of pictures of my firewall. I just completed installing Koolmat on it on Saturday and sealed the edges with high temp black RTV silicone yesterday. The glue I used for the Koolmat was 3M 1300L.

I did find some minor corrosion behind the old oil soaked asbestos which I corrected and then I sprayed the firewall with 3 coats of epoxy primer. All in all it was a lot of work but I think it was worth it.
