Removing 1370 hour cylinders is a one way trip. If they are not lamps they will still need everything. if the valves are sealing in a cylinder with oiled plugs the compression is usually 80/80 becasue the excess oil is sealing the rings. My K2U p[rtops are coming up on 5 years with no trouble. didn't gain a knot though.

Gary,
At a quart/8hours you should not be concerned, especially with your record of easy starts and smooth running.
I think you are on the way to a 2000 hr. engine as long as the operation remains as it is.
Lycoming is quite generous in their oil consumption allowances and you are not anywhere close to the limits.
Relax and enjoy your Twinkie.

Thanks again guys for your input.
I plan on running the engines as are
as long as they put out the required power and oil consumption remains acceptable. I will also be installing a new engine monitor to check each individual lower plugs before departure and in the mean time run them
lean of peak to save expensive fuel and depending on who you talk to
make the engines last longer!

Happy flying,
Gary
