My first ever landing in a Comanche was a greaser. That turned out to have been a happy accident, because the next ones were less than perfect, some of them hard. I got cured of flapless deadstick landings in a hurry. Now 20 landings further along, a good one is starting to be intentional. Still that is a far cry from the greasing ability that I had with my old Grumman.

I have 2 that made me a believer that the comanche has GREAT GEAR!
I've had lots of bad landings, but 2 that I will never forget, and 1 was after 500 hrs of landing her. Those I actually went out to check my gear.

The wing's the thing. Goes fast and a little hard to slow down. Landing speed is critical. Depending on mods some Comanches will be different than others. Got to "feel" (if you can) when the wing will stop flying. Closer to the ground the better.

Yup, that's the thing. Getting used to the Comanche's low position. When the other aircraft is on the ground, the Comanche is still a distance above.
I used to have very long flares in the Grumman, particularly at light weights. One up and little fuel, and it just wouldn't want to come down. Power off all the time. In the Comanche, I'm now getting used to keeping a little power on. No way I've encountered a hundredth of all possible attitude/weight/speed combinations, let alone achieve familiarity.
Right now I'm happy if the landing isn't a hard one. I'm not yet bothering with achieving minimum roll distance etc. and I'm keeping my destination runways long enough to cover my sloppy technique.
The shortest runway I've visited so far was 700m.

You don't land a twin Comanche you arrive,some of the arrivals are smooth unless somebody's watching then all bets are off!.
