All,
Thank you for your positive comments and excuse my late reply as I hadn't visited the forum for a while.
The Newsletter was sent to all current email addresses in the online Pathfinder (Rich, please check yours). As such we reached out to approx. 70% of our members. This shows that our Pathfinder database is surprisingly up to date.
Besides Flyer, forums, email chat groups, skype and conventional phone calls the Newsletter is meant to be an additional means for ICS to get in contact with its members.
Craig has summarized this very well.
In particular its mission is to reach a fairly large amount of our members in the quickest possible way if some important information needs to be disseminated fast (we are not into twitter as yet ). The torque tube issue in 2007 would be one example for this.
By this example you will recognize another feature of the Newsletter – it will not be issued on a regular basis but only when important or critical and interesting “Comanche World” information turns up.
We do not want to drown our members in an even larger than normal tsunami of information!
Our technical gurus Kristin Winter, Hans Neubert, Matt Kurke, Zach Grant and Alan Breen have helped me to collect the technical information for the first Newsletter.
It is not easy to find important and interesting information that is of value to the reader.
In this respect I am totally dependent on ALL of you out there.
Whenenver YOU come across a piece of useful and important information for Comancheros (excluding social stuff) please forward it to me so that I can use it for a newsletter.
A newsletter can be put together and sent out within a few days (after passing an editorial committee).
Thank you and remember me and the newsletter and as such all ICS fellow members if you stumble across a piece of good new information.
Monica
P.S. Scot, I'll leave the scantily clad bikini ladies for your Comanchetube collection
