How to remove a radio (loran) from a stack?

Postby C-FPUA » Wed Aug 20, 2008 6:05 am

Hello,

Newbie question: I have a Northstar M1 Loran with an antenna showing NG. I want to check connection at back of box. Only thing: I can't figure out how to get it to release from the stack. I'm sure that this must be easy for most of the rest of you!

Any help appreciated!

Hello, the lorans/gps's of that era generally used a small blade screwdriver from the front through a small hole to unscrew the unit. The opening should be about .1 inches in diameter. If it is not a blade screwdriver, then try an allen wrench.
