Bad choice

Nate,
IMHO no A&P without the proper avionics training should install any avionics equipment.
I say that to let you know that you may not have some features you could have or the wiring may not be the best.
Now saying that I know a few avionics shops that I would not let touch my aircraft.
Sorry just wanted to let you know I hate A&P's who think they are electrical avionics guys. I am one of those who believes their should be a A&P and Avionics License.

I do agree somewhat, however I feel like this will be a pretty simple install for the two of us, it being just a basic 430 install, and I'm having the wiring harness premade from an avionics shop, and I will be saving a bunch of money that I get to use in other areas of the aircraft. Should be pretty educational for me aswell, I like doing working on my stuff, and I'm working on getting my A&P too.
My A&P friend is also an AI, forgot to mention that.
