Beautiful bird. I have been shopping for a 180, but I would buy this in a skinny minute, but even though its a great deal, it's still 8k out of my budget.

Caution Terry! A $30K airplane could need a $20K annual inspection. Such a scenario is not as uncommon as it should be. A log of the bird on the lower end have be significantly neglected.

I understand Kristen, that is why I am insisting on a very thourough pre buy before I drop any cash. AND the reason I am trolling here to take advantage of those of you who KNOW what I need to be looking for! I have already added your advice about the seat rail inspections to my list of stuff to have checked.

Terry,

You contacted me and I would give you the same advice as Kristin. An acceptable 180 will be the same price as this 250...unless you settle for one with a run out engine. $30K is close to the salvage value for either.

And you were correct Dave. I had it looked at, corrosion, 2 cracked and stop drilled ailerons, home made air/oil separator, nose wheel steering bushings missing and replaced with stacked flat washers, questionable documentation of inspections and mods..he was only a few hours into the inspection and he stopped and called me to recommend I pass on the airrplane. Sad, but makes me glad I listened to everyone who insisted I get a prebuy. So, I am back to looking.
