Fuel cap

Fuel cap

Postby Gabi Ofir » Sat May 17, 2014 12:14 pm

Hello,

I'm new ICS member.
I own a Piper Twin Comanche 4x-CAO S/N 30-1225.
I would like to buy 1 fuel cap for the main fuel tank, and 1 fuel cap for the tip tank.

Thank You,
Gabi Ofir

I like the WEBCO caps, but I find soaking the cap and gasket 2 to 3 hours in lacquer thinner (not paint thinner) softens the rubber and you end up with a cap that is equal or better than new. Caveat: Keep checking the fit after 1 to 2 hours so the rubber does not soften and swell to the point it won't fit in the hole.
