Does ICS know of Company to get Comanche insurance?

There is only one insurance company that deals directly with the prospective policy holder to sell the insurance. That is Avemco. All other insurance companies work through brokers. Any broker can obtain a quote on insurance for a Comanche. However, that is not to say that all brokers are created equally. The ones that do regular business with Comanches often have a better idea which companies to attempt to obtain a quote and have developed a rapport with the underwriters who know the aircraft. Underwriters that know the Comanche will be more likely to give a competitive quote. ICS doesn't have any specific brokers, though a couple of them advertise in the Flyer. I work with Aviation West Insurance in California. Scott Myers is an ICS member and has a C model single Comanche. (760) 727-7444. Travers Aviation is also another broker that has done Comanches for a long time. It doesn't matter where they are located relative to you. Either can help you.

I have used Travers with good results for a Comanche 250, a Twin Comanche, and an Aztec. They have always found a competitive quote.

I have mine with Travers. They worked really well with me when I bought my bird back in May. I had no complex time and only 200 hrs, they were able to put me with an underwriter that didn't require anything crazy for hours, etc. PM me if you want and I'll go into more detail.
