For those of you that check e-bay for Comanche parts, be aware that the seller HBBBAZ is to be avoided. For one thing, his prices are unconscionably high and out of touch with reallity. Nevertheless, if he has what you want and need, and your willing to pay the price, then that's between you and him. In my case I asked him a specific question regarding some seat rails that he had for sale for the passenger side of the Comanche. The question I asked was are the seat rail dented? He responded that they were not, and that they were perfect. On that assurance, I bought the rails, knowing that I was paying too much. That was my choice. No complaint there.
When I received them, I was astounded by the corrosion on each piece. I can't ever recall seeing seat rails badly corroded. Even the stops were corroded, and dirt was packed in the tracks. I proceeded to clean up the tracks as best as possible. It was then I noticed that there were indeed dents in the tracks themselves, lot's of dents. I contacted the seller, and advised him that on the basis of my question about dents and his response, that I wanted to return the rails. He responded by cancelling the sale with E-Bay, to which I agreed. I then thought I would get a refund posted and I would return the rails. Surprise. No refund, no further correspondence. I'm guessing that he thinks because the sale was cancelled he is no longer subject to a negative rating, something that would alter his 100% satisfaction claim.
Fortunately I used PayPal for this purchase and they are standing by me 100%. If he doesn't make the refund by the 24th of this month, they will refund directly to me and get it from him. If he refuses to pay PayPal, he'll be removed as a seller on E-Bay for life, which maybe wouldn't be a bad thing.
So be cautious. Avoid HBBBAZ if at all possible. If you must do business with him, ask lots of questions first, and get answers..
