Head Rests

Head Rests

Postby dusty » Mon Nov 07, 2011 4:33 am

Next year I am planning on a new interiour and I am looking for two Head Rests for the front seats. I checked the P/N 19943-27 and it looks like the posts are 3/8 ins in dia and 6 1/2 ins centers.
Does anyone have these for sale or know where I can buy?

The headrests are automotive in dimension, you need to find a set of the older style adjustable auto headrests.

Good luck, Don

Chris:
I have a 1964 PA-250, single engine Comanche. For my seats I need Headrests which have 6 1/2 ins centers and the posts are 3/8 ins or perhaps 1/2 ins in diameter.
If the ones you have are the same I am definetly interested. From the parts book the no is 19943-27. The last two digets "27" refer to the color blue. But, I am going to have them covered anyway so it's not important as long as they fit.

David,

Just saw your post. Feel free to use the email address in my previous post, I check it frequently.

I will check the dimensions when I am at the hangar this weekend. I believe that all Comanches utilize the same headrest frame. I will be surprised if the headrests that I have measure differently from the dimensions you provided.

I built my own. used 5/8 ss tube and rivited a .063 aluminium plate to the posts glued some blue styrofoam on them carved some shape into them and had them upholstered look great work like a charm. cost $15 for material and had them upholstered when the seats were done.
