PA 30/39 alcohol propeller parts

Bryan,

Parts are going to be very hard to find. Have you tried to see if Wiggins has any parts drawings? That would make it much easier to make the parts.

What is used is not four nozzles, but two slinger rings, each with a couple of aluminum tubes coming off of the slinger rings. I have this system on my PA-30.

Maybe we can make an exchange of prisoners. I would love a copy of the installation manual, as I don't have that paperwork available to me. It might give me a clue for continuing maintenance.

Next time I have one of the engines uncowled, I will send you pictures and measurements if you need them.

Thanks for the rapid reply - the ICS is so helpful. I've already talked to Wiggins' Director of Maintenance and their chief inspector - when they moved from Norwood, MA to Manchester NH some of the older documentation was lost. In some cases (including my request) Wiggins' is asking the FAA for help trying to find the drawings.

I have the slinger rings, what I need are the aluminum tubes coming off the slinger rings - the tubes are called Injector Nozzles on the Installation Print (which I also have and am currently trying to find an economical way to digitize: its 3' x 7' and Kinko's wants over $170 for a scan; multiple scans will likely be needed to piece together a workable copy as the mimeograph drawing is quite faded in some areas).

Photos that would be most helpful would be taken with the spinners removed detailing the nozzles. If it helps, PM me and I'll reply with all of the system installation documentation I have (everything but the large print mentioned above).
