Need throttle cable help

Postby Matt Bogard » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:24 pm

Hello!

My throttle fricton lock when kaput; I unscrewed it too far one day and whatever the material is in there that pinches and provides friction came out in a bunch of pieces.

1. Any idea of a way to repair the friction lock or get new parts for just that? I have tried several o-rings with no luck.

2. I resigned myelf to the idea of buying a whole new throttle cable, but unfortunately when I called McFarlane they said they don't produce a cable for the PA-24-250 (they make mixture and prop but not throttle), so this would be a custom job and cost more. Has anyone ordered a new throttle cable from McFarlane? What process did you go through? Are you happy with the results?

Thanks!!!

Call Webco. I think they can get you a solution to your friction issue with very little cost.
