Fuel Problem

Fuel Problem

Postby Jim Johnson » Tue Jul 05, 2016 10:34 pm

I have a problem with my PA30 fuel system. I'm not getting sufficient fuel to the left engine above approx. 1500 rpm. EGTs rises significantly above right engine at that point. I have addressed every point in the system from fuel spider, mech. fuel pump, fuel servo, overhauled electric pumps with no improvement. The only thing left is the fuel selector. No contamination has been discovered at any point. Got to say it's driving me crazy. Anyone with a similar problem or suggested fix. Have also checked mags and timing. Thanks

Hi Jim, I don't have a solution to offer, but does your fuel flow instrument for the left side indicate proper fuel flow when you get above 1500 RPM's? I am interested as I have some issues not as dramatic as yours.
